EGFR Positive UK is a registered charity established by patients and their families and friends. Our purpose is to improve the overall survival and quality of life of EGFR positive lung cancer patients across the United Kingdom.
βWe do not offer specific medical advice, but we have an active Facebook group for patients, family and carers. We share information across our social media pages, and we regularly consult with relevant authoritative bodies on the status of EGFR mutation positive lung cancer in the UK.
Our Aims
To provide an information resource for EGFR positive lung cancer patients including sharing information about the latest treatment developments and clinical trials.
To identify and reach out to EGFR positive patients across the UK so they are able to access support and information from other patients and from our charity.
To raise awareness of EGFR mutation positive lung cancer; to raise awareness and change perceptions of lung cancer amongst the general population.
To promote earlier diagnosis of lung cancer, including raising awareness of lung cancer in never-smokers.
To liaise with and influence decision makers such as NICE, PHE and the DVLA.
To liaise with other lung cancer community partners, for example the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the UKLCC, and pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
To raise funds to support all the above activities.
